Ison Leads Men’s Golf On First Day At Zach Johnson Invitaional

first_imgStory Links Individually, junior Drew Ison led Drake with a one-over par, 73, to start the day and then fired an even par 72 in the second round for a total score of 145 and is tied for second-place. Freshman Chase Wicklund is tied for 12th-place with a score of 152 (74-78). Sophomores Tommi Avant and Jack Kennedy recorded scores of 156 (80-76) and 159 (78-81), respectively. Freshman Kyle MacDonald rounded out the team’s effort with a score of 172 (87-85). RHODES, Iowa – The Drake University men’s golf team is in a three-way tie for fourth-place after two rounds at the Zach Johnson Invitational on Monday at The Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes, Iowa. Playing as individuals, Matt Lavery is tied for ninth-place with a score of 151 (75-76), Arjun Reddy carded a 158 (74-84) and Karter Smith registered a 180 (95-85). The Bulldogs recorded a 36-hole score of 612 (305-307) and are tied with North Dakota State and Creighton. Bradley is on to of the leaderboard with a score of 595 with a four-shot lead over second-place Indian Hills CC. Eastern Illinois is in third-place with a score of 608 (308-300).
