Jacobs in engineering contract for Sisson tungstenmoly project

first_imgJacobs Engineering Group has been awarded the value and basic engineering contract for the Sisson tungsten-molybdenum project in New Brunswick, Canada, which is majority-owned and operated by Northcliff Resources. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing planning and engineering services for the plant and associated site infrastructure of the proposed mine project, which is expected to advance from the value and basic engineering phase to the detailed engineering phase in early 2015.In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Terry Hagen stated: “We are pleased to use our significant experience in mine engineering and construction and our strong presence in New Brunswick to support Northcliff on the Sisson Tungsten project.” Jacobs is one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical professional and construction services. In January 2014, the company announced that it the award of an oil sands and plant services contract by Suncor Energy Services for its Fort McMurray Base Plant. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing management and services to support the maintenance of the plant’s process, which may include mechanical, rotating and operating equipment, as well as maintenance provisions in the areas of transportation, insulation, painting, and structural work.last_img
