The new facility opened at Helsinki-Vantaa on Friday (January 2nd) and will cater for special needs passengers as well as young families. The service will be available every day in departure hall 2 of Helsinki-Vantaa’s second terminal, with the facility being identifiable by the Special Passengers sign that can be found over check-in desk 225. Commenting on the new service, Markku Remes, the person responsible for Finnair’s customer service, said: “A large number of families with children and other passengers with special needs travel on our flights. “We want to make the travel experience even easier for these important customers.” The service point can also be used by children travelling alone with chaperones, as well as wheelchair customers who require extra assistance.
